What do you think the answer is?
You can, it’s just respectful to disclose first. I know it’s soo hard
Being on antivirals reduces the chance of transmission. There's never a 100% zero risk. HSV-1 and hsv-2 or transmitted from skin to skin contact. So it is possible.
It's possible. Not likely, but possible.
Yes, unfortunately possible.
everyone gets cold sores as a kid I don’t even get why people make a big deal out of it.
I guess I'm a rarity because they say 90% of people have herpes. I've never had a cold sore and I only test positive for hsv-2 (genitally for 29 years). I agree cold sores are very very common and it's a shame people make a big deal out of it but for the people who are getting genital herpes from oral sex, they think it's a pretty big deal.
I also only have hsv2. I never got it as a kid, even though several of my siblings got cold sores at a very young age and loved on me lots, as I was the youngest. I remember my brother's lips cracking and bleeding from trying to play the trumpet with huge cold sores. He was always so embarrassed. I just got the kind no one can see but everyone is terrified of because it has to do with private parts. It's a shame that any kind is made out to be a big deal.
The prevalence for adults (14-49) is 53.9%. 90% is for people wiht one or both types of HSV worldwide.
There is a high probability that the person you want to kiss already has HSV-1 orally, as does 60-80% of the population. That said, most people with any type of herpes have never been tested for it and don't even know they have it. I'd have a talk with them and mention how prevalent HSV-1 is, and how most people have never been tested and don't even know they have it. Then suggest they get an HSV-1 (and HSV-2) IgG blood test to determine if they already have one of these types of herpes. It is highly likely that they will already have HSV-1. If so, then kiss away.

If they don't have HSV, then their dating pool is made up of about 75% with HSV. It's a fact of life.
Determine the actual facts first, then decide together how to proceed. Don't assume that the other person has actually been tested for either HSV-1 or HSV-2. It's more likely that they have never ever been tested.
Hillary only someone with an Igg blood test negative can say they dont have HSV, but no one testes, its not in STD test or medicals or childbirth so almost no one has been tested.
