Other times I experience bad ear aches if too much wind gets in my ear. This is especially true in winter. Now I'm just experiencing this pain every few days but not because of wind or anything. I assume I should just see a doctor about this but was wondering if anybody has experienced this? I still have my thyroid and just started levothyroxine a week or so ago.
This was one of my problems/symptoms prior to my thyroidectomy. The nodule was pressing against a nerve. It caused no permanent damage, just severe discomfort.
hmm Deetta to know. After surgery the pain went away?
Yep, pretty much right away.
maryanne so I get ear pain in both ears but my lump is only on the one side. THink this is possible?
Could be. My ENT even took a Deetta look and everything with the ear was clear.
My ear pain went away after surgery. I still have some sensitivity to loud noises, wind and cold.
I had the same experience as maryanne. My biggest relief was to finally be rid of the neck and ear pain and headaches, post op.
Pre diagnosis, I was getting air pressure in my ears that was so painful. I kept having to clear my ears, like when scuba diving. I kept complaining about it. No one knew what it was one.
One ENT surgeon said my Eustachian tube opening was too open.
Now, after surgery, I would occasional a little air pressure in my ears to a lot less severity and very infrequently, unlike before surgery.
Still have no idea why, sure as hell am grateful for it.
