First colonoscopy today revealed I am filled with polyps. I am very upset. They were biopsied but there were too many to get an accurate answer. My doctor wants me to go to Mayo Clinic where they apparently do a colonoscopy with dye to show any cancer. Has anyone had this done?

No, But I believe that would be the way to go. I started out with breast cancer I believe (don't know for sure) that the chemo gave me the Ulcerative Colitis. Every time I had a colonoscopy done I had polyps. The last time I had it done I asked the doctor if I could wait a couple of years. He said no way because the time before it was precancerous. That time the doctor (different doctor same office) said he took at least 100 polyps out. I got a paper in the mail everything was ok but need to have colonoscopy done every 1 to 2 years, He also put me on medicine which has helped a lot.

I don't think it's possible for chemo to give you ulcerative colitis

Thank you magda! I was going through heck with the cancer and chemo and when something went wrong I always blamed the chemo.

I had mine in April and they took out 16 polyps..ALL were fine. However, he said I'm "filled" with them and is sending me to a specialist.
