We had to go out of town so we left it in the care of a friend. It ran away. We never saw it again. Now I'm looking forward to seeing Pumpernickle again at long last.
if you don't mind me asking what do you enjoy doing to fill your day? My Mom is 85 and doesn't seem to want or know what to do with no short term memory.
I'm a terrible artist but I have enjoyed painting simple pictures on rocks and then "hiding" them where others can find and enjoy them. I also rescue feral cats so a little of my day is spent feeding and caring for them. And I can still follow recipes so I cook. I used to love to read but I can't anymore because I can't concentrate very well. But I really enjoy watching old comedy shows and movies I remember from my childhood- I just bought the entire series of McHale's Navy.
we have the same issue with our mom, age 79, shes never had hobbies or friends. she will sweep the floors but don't read, watch TV, cook, puzzles or anything else to keep herself busy. she gets mad if we aren't entertaining her. but conversation is so difficult. between bad hearing and comprehension it just goes into a conversation circle that goes no where and frustrates all of us.
Ellena and all, thank you for sharing. As we walk this journey either for ourselves or like me with my sweet Mama, it helps so much be able to share.
God bless u
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with such candor. You are in a group of people who genuinely care and can receive and give support to you. I am saddened by your diagnosis, but so encouraged by your gift of writing that can be used in so many ways. Thank you for taking time to write!!!!
Praying for you as you gather information to help you.
Have you seen the coconut oil video with dr and her husband ? I even use coconut oil for my cat and dog !
