Has anyone else had recurring pancreatitis? I've had it twice in my life, years ago. Today I woke up with extreme bloating, and severe pain in my upper left abdomen, radiating to my back, kind of near my shoulder blade.

Trying to stay positive but nervous and seriously don't want to make the drive to ER. I'm just curious if this could be sjogrens related.

I have had it 2 x also. Yes I believe it is related if you go on Sjogrens Foundation site online I believe it is mentioned there.

Thank you, I'll go look. I was just looking to see if it could be prescription related. Never thought to check the foundation site! Thanks again.

So sorry. Did they take you off of any meds? I read that certain prescription meds can cause it, although I didn't see plaquenil or methotrexate on the list. Gosh I remember it like it was yesterday, it was so painful. Sorry you have to deal with it.

I have been hospitalized 4 times with it and have had it 2 more time and stayed at home. It has been several years since I have had it but my gastricparesis has been very active the last couple of years. Both are due to my Sjogrens Syndrome. I am not sure what causes them to come and go. I am 61 yrs old now. I was diagnosed in my mid 30's.

Thank you so much, stoker. My mother had recurring pancreatitis. She also had hepatitis at like 65 years old. She was never diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. But now that I look back, I'm sure she had it, too. Crazy to put all of these pieces together. Thanks again. I hope you stay well.

So sorry you are going through this. I have never had pancreatitis, but my Dad has chronic and has for over 10 years. The pain, hospitalizations, surgeries, meds, and just how much it has taken a toll on him, I would not wish that on anyone. I hope you do go to the Dr if needed and they are able to help with the pain, etc. sending positive thoughts!!

Thank you so much, Albertha! I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I know the pain, so I feel for him. I can't imagine having it so often. I'm sure it takes a toll on you as well! Thank you for your thoughts, it means so much. Love to you and your dad. Xo
