Have been having pain here for a couple weeks but it's now to the point deep breaths hurt and certain movements take my breathe away. No fever or anything. Anyone have something similar? Can't figure out if it's a muscle or potentially something else.

(Have a doc appt just curious to see others experiences)

Could be muscular or flank pain....possible kidney infection.

Me too! It’s like I can barely have it touched and it kills me! It’s constant and in the same exact spot!

How do you get rid of a kidney stone?

jeanine.ragged

What did that feel like to you? It hurts but it's not unbearable.

Did you run a fever or anything out of the ordinary ?

That was me. It hurt but was not unbearable. It was like that for 2 weeks until finally went and they confirmed it was a kidney stone. They gave me a medicine to help move it and pass it along and I had about 20 mins of intense pain (and got sick to my stomach once) right before it passed and then I was fine. I had that back in July and not once since. I do not take it every day only because I am on a ton of vitamins and meds right now but have not had one since. Because of my health issues and because my family is prone to them my doctor said I should be on a low histamine, low oxy (something) diet....will get you that list tomorrow.

I say all that if it comes back to being one. They will do a urine test to see, and then probably a CT scan to see where it is to make sure you can pass it on your own. I might have run a fever but it was all right around my first colonoscopy and diagnosis of Crohn's so things were all blending in there.

I've had pain for a month or so now. It's gradually increased in pain.

jeanine interesting! I have heard they can be there for a while and the pain can intensify. Each person is so different. Let me know how your appointment goes! Hoping it is nothing major for your sake!

When I have pain there it is typically my kidneys from dehydration.

Same here. It’s painful. It’s not a continuous pain but if I move a certain way or if someone touches it, it is!

Shanti exactly! I thought it was gone and then I moved a certain way I can feel it.

Adrenal pain? I'm coming off prednisone and have muscle spasm in same area. Castor oil wrap with heating pad helped.

oli Its so weird how these things pop up after getting on medication for ulcerative colitis. Maybe I just never noticed it before. I finally got diagnosed in November of 2016 and started Humira in April of 2017 and then Imuran last month.

orobin
Answered 9 months ago    reply

Shanti I stopped taking Humira about 6 weeks ago because I’ve got so much pain in my body and didn’t have it until Humira

ambitious_teacher

I think it helps with the ulcerative colitis but it’s like my energy is zapped and I have arthritis now. I bruise easily and my joints are horrible. My GI told me not to google anything about it or I’d give up on the medication but my gosh, some of the side effects are just as annoying lol

Shanti I’ve got so much pain in my thighs and my feet that I feel like I’ll be in a wheelchair in s year if I don’t find out why I have the problem. So removing all meds was the first place to start I felt. I take a thyroid pill, vitamin D3, B12,and Turmeric. That’s it. Time will tell...

I would love to get off of the medications! I have gained so much weight. I feel like this is why I can’t get outside to play with my daughters and my dogs. It is mentally and physically draining.

orobin
Answered 9 months ago    reply

Shanti I too have gained a lot of weight since being on Humira. I was glad to not be in the hospital constantly but this weight gain is not helping my body pain.

This might be referred pain. I suffered from deep pain in my back around where you have the square. I completely stopped once I had my surgery. The inflammation in your intestines is in an indirect way causing this pressure pain.
