Now I have hypothyroidism and being told pre diabetic, what gives seriously!
Hypothyroidism can slow your metabolism, I would work to get that taken care of and then maybe meet with a dietician or start with a personal trainer for a more intense workout
I’m on medicine for thyroid and numbers show ok per doc but think it’s time to see endocrinologist
An endocrinologist is a good idea, mine was able to give me a more exact dosage of medication and rule out other issues
The thyroid can cause a lot of weight problems. Getting that in order would be the first thing to do. Then if you are restricting your calories but working out you may not be able to loose. Are you getting 80g protein and at least 80oz water daily? Any idea how many calories?
I was always told with gastric not to count calories
Amanda that's dangerous advice
I do get my protein and water
Not counting calories is one of the best advice I got from my program. I see so many stall and get so frustrated. All they need to do is focus on that high protein and water. It makes things so much easier and work much better. Better loss and better experience. I’ve seen a lot in 10 years at this. Everyone needs to do their own research to ensure what they are being told is the best. Doctors and nutritionist give bad and wrong info a lot and we are the ones who suffer for it.
Gabby this was what my surgeon said I mean I do watch them anyways but maybe I’m not getting enough because at times I go all day without eating because I forget due to not being hungry and get busy but I do drink my 2 protein drinks
Amanda not getting enough will mess you up.
Ash that’s probably what is effecting me then..this week I did some meal prepping and actually did really good
Amanda that’s probably your answer then. I see so many panicking because they are eating so little, working out and not loosing. If you don’t get enough to support what your body needs it can’t function properly. Not eating and restricting too much and pushing the body also messes up your metabolism.
That's why checking in with calories is a good idea!
