Hi, I’m new! I take citalopram for my IBS which has been brilliant, but the last few weeks I’ve been under a bit of stress (daughter starting secondary school and finding out she’s probably dyslexic, son starting GCSE’s etc!) and I’m flaring. How do you deal with a stress induced flare?

Pain, D & C at various times, nausea, horrible gurgling etc. Any advice to calm myself and my bowels down greatfully received!

Have you tried behavioral cognitive therapy? Great tools for the mind & body. Also CBD oil (without THC) helps both with stress and great for the GI. FYI - I am a severe dyslexic. It's a learning difference not a disability. In elementary school I tested mentally handicapped... by highschool I was able to speed read & a straight A student. Now, I am a successful chiropractor writing books on health. I hope that helps lower your stress about your daughter
