How long has he been involved with your daughter? I give the talk before anything gets serious. After a meet up or 2. I view what we have as a skin condition. The suppressive therapy will help a lot too. HSV is very common to have and many people don't know they have it. Just the other day my coworker said she had a huge cold sore on her lip a few weeks ago. I don't think she knows what she has

We are going on three months and I’ve known him since I was 15 it’s just been a lot and I’m not sure how to start the conversation. I honestly thought when I was diagnosed my life was over and he tells me he wants more kids and a family but I’m not sure how that can happen with me having hsv2

I have hsv2 and I had my daughter the natural way. No problems at all. Just upped my Valtrex to 500 mg twice a day the last month

Where do you find a good doctor I have one but she isn’t helpful at all. I’m not on any medication I want to take all the precautions to not pass on the hsv

Terra, it feels to like hit and miss on finding an informed doctor. I will say I have never been on any meds, except one prescription in 2016, that I have had this for almost 30 years. I didn’t pass to the muggles I was in relationship with (a bit naive though) but will go on them if I date another muggle.

I never had trouble getting a doctor to prescribe me Valtrex. Some doctors aren't educated either on this topic

Sharika, my doctor only gave me one prescription with no refills.

Then you have a good talk with that doctor and explain to it that you would like to be able to do suppressive therapy. It requires one pill every day. If the doctor doesn't wanna do that then look for another doctor.

I agree now Sharika! I wasn’t with anyone after that so I didn’t push the issue. Also now I’m back in California and that was in Oklahoma! Also, hopefully, just gonna stay with herpes men so won’t need it.

Sharika, I have had for almost 30 years and my last outbreak was 2016, and 5 years before that. so not really needing suppression.

Sharika Do you know what are the percentages of suppression of both outbreaks and transmission?

You can start convo by giving a sefer sex ed talk, as in " did you know that the standard std panel of testing actually leaves out a bunch of things and that ALL stds can be carried silently. That you actually have to request a 10 panel atd screening and a side test for Trichomonisis in order to really know your status. Let me tell you how I know this information now. Because there is something that 90% of the popularion has, that is very common, but unfortunately most people only know the stigma about it. I finally feel comfortable after our time together to have this conversation with you. You have shown yourself to be a man with intergrity, so I am going to share something personal with you. Have you ever had a cold sore or known someone who did. well mine occur on the vagina. Cold sores are caused by the herpes virus. You need to be tested, because in all reality, in your past because this is carried silently, you might of contracted it from someone who had past history of cold sores. Did you know that even if they do not have a visible cold sore, they can be carrying the cirus and they can be silently emitting invisibly the virus. if performing a BJ on you, they could have transferred the virus to you. or during sexual intimacy. So since I know my status and I respect you and care for you, I am asking for you to go have a 10 panel std screening with a side test for Trichomonasis. Then we can discuss after we know your results and ways to lessen risks depending upon what your staus is. I know you might have many questions, so I have prepared some things for you to read, since so much info on internet is old outdated myths. Id rather you had proper info and discuss with me.
