Hi! I lost over 3 stone using fitness pal ( a calorie counting app) and doing fitness blender workouts on YouTube!

Fitness blender??? I go on holiday in June and would love to lose at least 3 stone lol what sort of things do u eat in a day just to help me get going lol

Foodwise, at the time being totally uneducated about what was good and what was bad. It was good to use the app

So high fiber breakfasts, avoid sugary fruits or cereals.
Shakes are great once you get used to making them. I have 2 bananas a handful of almonds, alpro yogurt, soya milk and some peanut butter all blended up and split in 2 and that's 2 breakfasts done.

White fish, chicken, turkey, don't have too much red meat.
Replace complex carbs with alternatives like cus cus, or buck wheat.
Lots and lots of veg!

I lost the first 2 in about 6 months and the last one probably took another 6 months because I start building muscle.
But try not to focus on how much you weigh.

The scales can be deceiving so don't trust them!
Go by how you feel.
I had a pair of jeans I wanted to fit in, that was my goal.

Honestly try fitness pal app and fitness blender on YouTube.

I don't believe in cutting things out of your diet as you need everything. But you just have to figure out what works for you.

The app teaches you how to make better choices because when you have 700 calories for a meal you have to make the most of it.

I went over my target calorie intake everyday! And I still lost weight

Reduce carbs to 20-50g a day. Its working wonders for me and not counting the calories. Cut out anything high carb and you'll be amazed.

All meat not sausages or burgers though. Small amounts of leafy veggies, full fat coleslaw, full fat cream, cheese, mayonnaise, Sweetner. I am day 3 and have lost 3 pounds and I am 3 stone overweight. I take 125 Thyroxine everyday, vitamin D and Fluoxitine. Doing this for 3 days has stopped me being hungry and I dont have as much brain fog. I know its early days but I feel terrific. Zero carbs for spirits if you love an odd tipple.

I have had an omelette with cheese and ham. 4 cups of tea, strawberries and cream, fish with salad. Its amazing how not hungry I am. I have tried lots of diets but think I will stick with this. Ive also drank water and fizzy zero carb pop.

You should have seen the huge steak I had last night. I dont feel like eating sweets if I can gorge on full fat things and not watch the calories. Give it a try and read up on the net what low carbs you can have. Its basically high fat, protein low carb diet. Let me know how you get on

It's all fresh foods. Gluten free, dairy free. I am doing so much better on this plan than any others I tried.

I have reduced my carb intake between 20-50g a day and feel great. Decreased appetite, less brain fog. I am day 3 and have lost 3lbs so far. I have tried loads of diets over the years but never felt this satisfied ever. I know its early days but I just know I'm going to stick to this.

Don't quit! Log food and track activity. I'm a personal trainer and before diagnosis 4 months ago, I gained 30lbs so quick. It is really difficult to lose it now. I struggle daily with it as well.

I am 3 stone overweight and was diagnosed over 2 years ago. I take 125 Thyroxine a day. My diagnosis was after my 3rd child was born. Its such a complex condition which affects everything. I will stick to this because I'm not hungry or thinking about my next meal. I've just had strawberries and cream with only 8g of carbs and I enjoyed them better than any sweets.

I feel same. My whole body seems different now. I had testosterone pellets done as well to help me. I struggle with energy. Changing foods has helped so much thou. I love berries!

When I first started taking Levo I had cut out gluten and lost 85 pounds in 8 months! I find now it’s harder to lose anymore weight so I have started reducing simple sugars and eating more protein. It’s definitely not an easy process but so worth it!

Latoya I think everyone is different! I was very over weight and very young, all I really ate for those 8 months was fruits/veggies, meats and dairy. The only reason I cut it out originally was because my specialist had told me that it could affect my thyroid! Like I said though everyone’s different!

Hi I've lost 2 stone 7 lbs now , in nearly a year. I make meals from stratch, soups and curries. I have them alternative days for my dinner. Breakfast is porridge with a little cinnamon and a drop of maple syrup, I'm definitely not giving that up! Lunches are varied, fruit smoothies, kippers, ham sandwich made from sourdough or egg sandwich. I have an omelet, 1 egg, or cook veg in olive oil till soft using herbs and garlic to flavour it. The curries are usually sweet potato with other vegetables, not high fibre and the soup is nearly always spicy sweet potato, I love it! I am intolerant to gluten and dairy products, also red meats. I don't diet just eat healthy food, have no Coffee but green tea and loads of water. As a treat I have a glass of red wine in the evening and a tiny amount of dark chocolate. I usually have a few plain Brazil nuts daily and when I know I get a low, 2 dark chocolate Brazil nuts after a workout. I feel great.

Have a food tolerance test done. My Dr started me on the ketogenic diet after getting the results. I'm a totally new person both physically and mentally now. Also check out leaky gut and Candida. I'm getting things back in order again and it's an awesome feeling!

I was undiagnosed for about 5 Years (hypo). Last 2 years I have been using my fitness pal and followed IIFYM diet + weights lifting. Lost 1 stone (8% of my body weight) and built muscle. I have never felt better before.
Now, started taking Levo and I lost all my motivation, I have got muscle weakness due terrible side effects and can’t cope with side effects on daily basis. Hope this will change soon

I'm 172 cm and was 120 kg. I'm now 54kg. I went gluten free, sugar free and dairy free. I'm now snack free, soda free, vegan , soy and corn free top of those ones before . It worked with me.
