I am 52 years old diagnosed 5 years go with moderate osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia, sero negative RA, UCTD, Gerd and peripheral neuropathy as well.

Yesterday a hand ultrasound confirmed what my rheumy suspected, that my osteo and fibro are the main issues causing most of my pain and mobility issues. Just driving makes my hands hurt worse for days afterward. Now that I have seen all the bone spurs in both hands, I can see why. When I asked what could be done to help me walk better the rheumy said there is nothing he could do to fix me, only manage my pain and inflammation. It’s possible that I have a bone spur(s) pushing against my spinal cord which the nerve test showed as an issue. Even the slightest touch to that area causes the most pain I have ever felt in my life, but as soon as he stopped so did the pain. I have been through a lot in my life and managed to get through it but this has stopped me in my tracks and I haven’t been able to find a way around it.

Yes that’s what they think. Mostly because I can be outside in -20f winter winds and not feel a thing on my skin. And the kicker is, I am very heat intolerant thanks to my fibro and the colder it is the better I feel balance wise and energy too. But then all my arthritic joints get stiffer and start their own rebellion; so either way, one is always fighting with the other
