I still get those moments of when a joint is first attacked by arthitis, but not, it has become more like a throbbing bad tooth ache and it will take me to my knees (unfortunately, I can't even do that anymore, my knees are so shot, I can't put that kind of pressure on them) I am currently on x2 day, I take 4 Ibuprofen and 1 Tramadol, but, I don't want to live like this either. I am trying to find natural and holistic approaches to dealing with the pain. I know I need to loose weight, and exercise more, but like most of you, it hurts to work out on those joints, so it is like a double edge sword. I make myself take breaks, so that I am not sitting for long periods of time and I work through the pain unless it is way too intolerable. I know my dad use to get a lot of relief from his arthritic pain when he got in his hot tube, but most of us can't afford to go out and buy one of those. I am not a bath kind of person but a good shower can help and so does my heating pad, particularly moist heat. I would enjoy hearing from anyone with suggestions. I have OA in both hands, my hips, lower back and in my neck some and definitely in my ankles and feet. I come by it naturally since both sides of my family had it bad. I know all this cold weather doesn't help either. Hang in there, it wont be long until spring and some warmer weather.
