I have asthma but I never tried Prednisone yet. May I ask anyone if what's Prednisone and how does it affect your asthma?

It's a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation. It's usually only used when we have inflammation in our airways that needs extra help (eg more help than we get from our corticosteroid inhalers). I usually only get put on it when I get acute bronchitis. This website explains what it I and what it's used for pretty well https://www.drugs.com/prednisone.html

It works like a miracle for me. The only issue is that I have trouble sleeping at night, but have learned to take 3-5mg of melatonin to help me rest. Usually my lungs are so wore out by that point.
