. I was FINALLY diagnosed with Osteoarthritis a few days ago in my neck. I have battled pain for yrs and Drs always said I was too young. Now 41 they say yes. But only after being in and out of dr office and Urgent Care and ER for last 6 weeks in unbearable pain that has left me useless.

They also say I have bulging / herniated discs, not sure how they can say it as they haven't done an MRI but I am sure they are right. After weeks of here take some flexerall and Norco you will be fine (which honestly has only been knocking me out and making me loopy) they started me on Gabapentin 300mg and said take 1 pill day 1, take 1 pill 2x a day 12hrs apart day 2 then take 1pill 3x a day day 3 8 hrs apart. Today was day 4 and besides a bit of lightheadness and maybe a tiny bit of pain lessening in my upper neck but none in my shoulder or arm. I wonder if this is gonna help or if this was their way of saying your a pain pill junkie so move on. I go back to Dr monday, hopefully to get some kind of relief or start a process to get me there, to where it is bearable again. How many people here take Gabapentin with success? And if so how long does it take? Also any recommendations of things to try or anything to help? I need to be able to function and sleep Thanks guys.

Gabapentin is for neuropothy..if I don't take it my feet get really hot at night. My hands an feet get really cold..so gabapentin helps all that..I hear vit B s do too.i have severe OA in my neck plus bunch other stuff wrong with it. When it flares up nothing helps.me.but rest..and sometimes it takes few.minutes to get my head in a position they my neck feels easy...

Don't look up an down a lot, don't bend over the sink or hang your head over to the side as this will cause more pain. A cold compress will help when it flares.

I use this oil . The liquid gold. I've noticed a significant improvement in just 3 weeks. Im now on 3 drops 3 times per day. It has to be built up to gradually. No thc in this ( what creates a high) so perfectly legal to buy. This is a simply CBd product. I have also used CBd Brothers products and they are good too

This is another one when taken with the other they do amazing things. Aqua oil. This is one that definitely shouldn't be taken immediately though as it's very strong

I can't sleep without it I get the occasional wake ups during a flare but have noticed a great improvement taken at night. I don't usually take it during the day. Gabapentin was really the only thing I was prescribed for awhile until my Dr took me seriously and gave me pain meds.

So you only take it at night? Do you take it nightly on a continuous basis? The ER Dr was saying as needed BUT I know this isn't suppose to be an as needed med
