I'm about 5 months post total thyroidectomy and have had, from what I understand, fairly common side effects most likely from scar tissue. Labored swallowing, feeling of something stuck in my throat, etc. I plan to see my surgeon to be sure however a new scenario came up today.

I am a wrestling coach so weekends with hours straight of screaming isn't uncommon. I felt quite uncomfortable today, more than your typical sore throat from screaming. Is there possibly any relation to my thyroid or are throat issues totally separate? Maybe my screaming today was more than my norm.

Even 5 years out, I have a hard time screaming. I always pay for it. I try to save my voice for singing.
