My Dr has diagnosed me having IBS, just from me telling him my symptoms (which is a bloated feeling which builds up during the day but disappears over night).

He requested I had a blood test (nothing strange showed up) and I’ve had an ultrasound scan to rule out issues with my lady bits - again all ok. No internal investigations! Is this normal? Or a lazy diagnosis? Just go away and take buscopan was the outcome!

I have never been diagnosed with IBS-C , I had a colonscopy probably 11 years ago and the doctor said I probably had it, I have had no medication and lots of years of pain!!!! I have a appt in Nov to see specialist, thank goodness, it is about time, before I had the colonscopy , I had just had cervical cancer and endured 25 radiation treatments and internal radiation and a failed hysteremony so for the spelling , so very interested to see if this has anything to do with the IBS-C, I just recently found buscopan , which is certainly a relief !!!!
