So I haven't been able to be on my meds in about 3 years as I don't have insurance. I'm hoping to get a "gold card" which here in Texas it's insurance with the county. I'm hoping to be back on my meds once I get insurance and get to a Dr.

Although IDK what kind of Dr I would need to see to have tests done. Does anyone know? My Dr before I lost my insurance was my obgyn. Would I need to see an obgyn? Please any advice would be great.

My general practitioner is the one who did my blood work. She is also the one prescribing and monitoring my medicine. She’ll send me on to an endocrinologist if needed at any time. So far so good. (Mississippi)

I think any primary care physician, family doctor or internist will run thyroid tests for you and should be willing to prescribe meds.
