So is it possible to have a colonoscopy done and they not see colitis?

I’m asking because I was just diagnosed in July which confirmed left side colitis, but I had a colonoscopy and 2 endoscopies done about 10 years ago when it was the height of my sickness and they said nothings wrong and sent me on my way. Sad I had to see 3 gastro doctors and took 36 years to get an answ

Happened to me but showed up on sigmoidoscopy

Science changes all the time.. 10 years ago they may not have the biopsy needed to confirm microscopic colitis like I have primarily with ulcers too...

I believe so... I had one in 2011 and nothing. But before that in 2009 a surgeon came to me after a major op and said get my bowel checked as it was very inflamed.... previously to this 3 bouts of PSC and now in nov a diagnosis finally.... found it thru MRI and CT scan

I’m going to go back and see if they did a biopsy in 2011...I can’t remember.
