Doctors don't care about it.....but yes
from what I understand, you can take it to a geneticist to have it further interpreted ?
Yes-not very useful 2 me,,,,,
It did clue me into a lot of issues and meds I should/shouldn't take.

You can also ask questions on there that someone (maybe the company?) can answer.
Yes, i found out i had the celiac gene, hla mold gene and mtfr gene ..so no detox pathways
Here are links to 2 podcasts, one with the CEO of 23 and me & one with a PCP with a geneticist background. I found both very interesting.
I will definitely check them out. Overall positive or negative?
Definitively positive. It’s very clear on what 23 and Me provides and what it doesn’t. Also explains why most physicians just aren’t there yet in acceptance mostly because they don’t know what to do with the data. Genetics is an extremely complex field but they’re seeing it as a big part of the future of medicine.
Ty for this!
It was really good!!
It was interesting but none of the doctors give it any validity. They check certain segments that 23andme does not cover.
I get my medical genetics results in a couple of weeks. I’ll find it interesting to compare.
